Evidence-Based Verification
The core of the engine. Each checkpoint asks the file a question, and Ceertia answers it directly on the documents: the verdict comes back with its evidence attached, page, zone and source text. Nothing is guessed, nothing is asserted without proof.
The verdict sits next to its proof.
Open any file and every rule shows three things side by side: the question, the proposed answer, and the document itself with the cited zone highlighted. Reviewers confirm or correct without leaving the screen. Nothing to hunt for.
- aQuestion, answer, cited zone
The document opens next to the question, cited zone highlighted.
- bConfirm or correct at the source
Every human correction is logged and traceable.
- cNo answer? Then it says so
A question the documents cannot answer is flagged, never guessed.

From presence to computed checks.
Is it there?
The checkpoint confirms a piece of information is present: a signature, a date, a mandatory mention. The verdict cites where it was found.
Does it match?
The same information is checked across documents: is the beneficiary on the quote the one on the invoice? The verdict cites both zones.
Does it compute?
Some checks need work on the fly. No total quantity on the invoice? Ceertia computes it from the line items, then checks it against the contract. The calculation ships with the verdict.
The proof ships with the answer.
- The answer to the checkpoint question, per document and per file
- The evidence attached: page, zone and source text behind the answer
- For computed checks, the calculation that produced the result
- A question the documents cannot answer is flagged, never guessed
One rule, as it runs.
Does the total quantity on the invoice match the contract? The invoice has no total, so Ceertia computes it from the line items, checks it against the contract, and attaches the calculation to the verdict.
Verdict stored with sourced evidenceDefined rules, sourced verdicts.
- Presence of every expected document and element
- Cross-document consistency: identities, amounts, references
- Temporal ordering between the dates of the file
- Optional: labeled field extraction, as a separate tool, if you need the data itself
- Verdict plus sourced evidence for every rule
One rule, as it runs.
Is the beneficiary name identical on the quote and the invoice? The verdict cites both source zones, or reports which document prevented the check.
Verdict stored with sourced evidence
Rules are questions, in plain language.
Every check on this page starts as a question your team writes in the use case builder: no code, no query language. Ceertia turns each question into a rule and answers it with a sourced verdict, file after file, identically.
It runs on the same evidence-based core as the rest of the engine. Standardized use cases carry a 90% quality floor. Miss it, and the file is not billed.
